Overview and Guidelines for Applying to the Small Comforts Foundation

Small Comforts Foundation, LTD. (SCF) is a not for profit organization dedicated to funding and administering programs that will raise the morale and improve the quality of life for the chronically or terminally ill.  It is our mission to accomplish this through establishing programs that will make a difference in the daily lives of people afflicted with chronic illness. The application which may be downloaded below can be used when applying to any of our programs.

All gifts and assistance are awarded at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors of SCF.  Recipients will be chosen on the basis of information provided in their essay and supporting documentation. Each  request for assistance is considered on its own merit depending on the individual or family's circumstances and need. Requests for cash will not be considered.  Comfort Gifts and Assistance are awarded to individuals and families.  Organizatiions, companies, and corporations are not eligible for Comfort Gifts. 

A Comfort Gift award is at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors of SCF.  Recipients will be chosen on the basis of information provided in their essay and supporting documentation.

Assistance Through the Margie Vorhis Family Assistance Program is available for certain types of situations resulting from a person's illness.

Please click here to print the Application Form.  Please provide as complete information as possible as the review can be made only on the information and documentation provided.  Please consult your Physician and ask them to complete the verification page at the end of the application form.  Your application cannot be considered without medical documentation.  Please send the completed forms to:

Reviews are done as promptly as possible but may take up to two weeks.  Grants depend on available funding.  If you do not receive a response within two weeks please send an email to ccima@aol.com
