Small Comforts Foundation has three ongoing programs which include our Comfort Gift Program, Comfort Closet for Hospicare Program and our Family Assistance Program.
Comfort Gift Program
This program allows anyone on a limited budget living with a Chronic Illness to apply to SCF for an item that will make a difference in their daily life and in some way raise their morale or quality of life. Examples of items that have been granted include TV's, Air Conditioners, Medical Supplies, Computers, Furniture, Appliances and Personal Care Items.
"I want to let you know how beneficial The Small Comforts Foundation has been to the patients of Ithaca Dialysis over the years. As you know, dialysis patients suffer many major and minor problems related to their chronic condition. The assistance given by Small Comforts makes these problems more tolerable. A walker can keep them mobile, a recliner helps those who can’t sleep in a bed. An air conditioner is of great comfort to a person that doesn’t regulate their body temperature adequately. A DVD player provides a diversion. I know firsthand how grateful the patients are. Certainly, I and my staff also appreciate everything Small Comforts does for our clinic and the community in general. Thank you again."
